As a Project Manager, I lead cross-functional teams of student researchers and staff in building scalable software and machine learning projects while collaborating with faculty and engineers from Meta, Wayfair, NASA, Google, Microsoft, and Capital One. I trained teams in best practices for algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems, while also implementing secure data-handling protocols to protect sensitive information. Notably, I developed a graphical Java application for intelligent image segmentation, applying Dijkstra’s algorithm and advanced data structures to introduce peers to computer vision concepts. This role strengthened my ability to bridge research with applied ML engineering, mentor emerging developers, and co-develop solutions in industry-simulated environments.
