Dennis is a dynamic professional with a rich background in military service, veteran advocacy, and academic pursuit. As a two-time Iraq combat veteran with eight years in the Selective Marine Corps Reserve, his unwavering dedication to service is a beacon of inspiration. Dennis pursued academic excellence alongside his military commitments, earning a BA in Labor Studies from Hofstra University and an MA in Industrial Psychology from Adelphi University. Currently, he is a PhD. candidate with the CUNY Graduate Center\'s Social Welfare program, furthering his expertise in supporting communities. Transitioning from his military career, Dennis spent two-and-a-half impactful years as a Veterans Specialist with New York City\'s Workforce1 – Veteran Priority1 program. Here, he not only honed his skills in assisting veterans and their spouses in securing meaningful employment opportunities, but also developed a deep understanding of their unique challenges and needs, providing a reassuring sense of capability. Driven by a desire to continue serving his fellow veterans, Dennis sought a role where he could make a tangible difference. Joining CUNY-Queens College, he found the perfect platform to blend his professional expertise and academic insights. In his role within the Office of Veteran & Military Support Services, Dennis brings a contagious energy and a commitment to empowering veterans, military personnel, and dependents to excel in both their academic pursuits and civilian careers. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dennis finds joy in his family. He proudly embraces fatherhood and role as uncle to nine nieces and nephews. He also maintains a healthy and active lifestyle, indulging his passion for indoor soccer and cycling whenever possible. Dennis\'s journey is defined by service, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. He is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others, both professionally and personally.
