About Dennis Rehill
Dennis is a Principal and Senior Architect with Populous.Prior to joining Populous, Dennis was a Project Executive and Senior Design Leader at Gresham Smith. Prior to GSP, Dennis was a Director of Henry J Lyons International studio in Dublin focused on large scale, highly sustainable mixed-use high rise buildings and masterplans across the globe. Dennis led WATG Urban globally while also managing the Seattle studio as Design Director. He focused on mixed-use commercial, residential, and hospitality projects on a variety of scales, from urban infill to supertall. Dennis has an extensive background and impressive portfolio of highly sustainable, mixed-use projects in the Middle East, Asia, North America, and Europe. He holds certifications from the Passivhaus Institut, BREAAM and LEED, was co-chair of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat in Seattle, and a sustaining member of the Urban Land Institute.Prior to joining WATG Urban, Dennis was Design Director and Tall Buildings Practice Area Leader at Gensler. Dennis directed the design of a pair of residential towers, as well as major building competitions including Skanska 2 & U Tower and 2nd Ave Tower. Prior to Gensler, he designed a series of highly sustainable supertall towers and comprehensive masterplans for AS+GG Architecture, which include Goldenland Suzhou, Kingdom Tower (the soon to be new world’s tallest building) and Tianfu Eco-City. Before joining AS+GG in 2008, Dennis was an Associate Director for Scott Tallon Walker Architects in Dublin, where he led the design of sustainable office and residential developments. Prior to Scott Tallon Walker Architects, Dennis was a design architect at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in London and Chicago, where he worked with Adrian Smith on a number of projects, including the Burj Khalifa (the current world’s tallest building) and 7 South Dearborn in Chicago. From Dennis was a project architect with Architectural Concepts Inc, working on bespoke high-end single-family homes.
