Responsible for leading the team to validate full vehicle, subsystem and component performance. Establish V-Model Strategy to evaluate vehicle systems and components and create and execute test plans (DVP & Rs), analyze results and provide reports to ensure safety, quality and compliance requirements are met- Coach and mentor V&V engineers & technical team by developing best practices for the V&V team to ensure safety, quality and compliance requirements are met to align with company product development and production goals and implement a best practice team vision plan, policies, and processes to improve performance and efficiency- Consults with design engineering leads, assesses internal or external requirements, and studies product characteristics to select validation objectives and standards- Guides Engineering and Project Management teams through DVP & R development for assigned NPI or current production improvement projects- Prepares protocols for validation or performance testing of new or modified individual components or systems and manufacturing equipment- Partner and engage with internal and external collaborators, supplier management team, maintain relationships/partnerships with internal customers, peers and partners to develop strategies, goals and objectives that are consistent with the organization’s overall strategy- Forecasts resource needs and makes hiring decisions. Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance team member performance and expand capabilities- Manages team creating and executing tests based on appropriate protocols, analyzing data to determine whether components, systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications- Work collaboratively with industrial and manufacturing engineering teams during the NPI process to ensure the highest quality products are delivered- Comfortable with complex problem solving and rapidly changing priorities.
