About Dennis McNally

I began as the Grateful Dead\'s publicist in 1984, and have since worked with many different musicians, bands, record companies, and promoters, including Zakir Hussain, Steve Kimock, Little Feat, Bill Payne (solo career), Boris Garcia, Bob Weir & RatDog, and so forth. I published my third book,\"On Highway 61,\"(Counterpoint Press, Berkeley, on October 14, 2014) and invite people to visit my new website, to see a sample and get further information. I am happy to note that \"On Highway 61\" won the 2014 ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson award for music writing. I published my fourth book (acting as editor),\"Jerry on Jerry,\" in November, 2015. It is an edited transcript of interviews I did with Jerry Garcia in the 1970s and 1980s, and includes an introduction by Trixie Garcia. There is also an audio version, which is the actual tapes themselves. Again, I invite those interested to go to for more information.
