As the DE Operations Coordinator for Flowers Bakeries, I am responsible for coordinating all facets of the bakeries’ Independent Distributor Program. I assist Sales Management in the design, sale, and repurchase of distributorships. I facilitate the application and recruitment process and inform prospective distributors of the details, requirements, and advantages of the Independent Distributor Program. I develop pro-forma financial statements and contracts for potential distributors. I monitor contract compliance of the Distributor Agreement, insurance requirements, timely payment of account, etc. and inform appropriate management of contractual breaches. I also assist distributors/prospective distributors in all areas related to the independent businessperson (vehicle and/or insurance procurement, settlement statements, financing, SBT accounting etc.). I help establish and maintain a positive relationship with distributors, and act as liaison between company, distributor and other agencies (CPA, insurance, vehicle leasing agency, bank, etc.).

My background includes 27 years experience in route sales distribution and sales operations management with premier consumer products companies (Flowers Foods, Hostess Brands, Earthgrains/Sara Lee Bakery Group and Oroweat). I have extensive experience leading teams, including Independent Operators; as well as route structuring, administration, logistics and finance from the field application. Now as the Distributor Enablement Operations Coordinator, I am responsible for coordinating all facets of the bakeries’ Independent Distributor Program.
