About Dennis Harrington

Dennis Harrington is the leader of Design Technology for Amazon’s UX Lab, where he has been passionately advocating and implementing virtual prototyping and design techniques that take advantage of VR/AR/MR and the 3D asset pipeline to dramatically decrease product concept iteration time while increasing fidelity for device prototyping, product experience validation, executive review and most importantly, customer empathy. Coming from the divergent disciplines of game design, music composition and software engineering, Dennis possesses a unique mix of creative and technical acuity that allows him to approach creative challenges from a technical perspective and technical challenges from a creative point of view. With 20+ years in the software, design and prototyping spaces, Dennis has worked with many industry leaders, including Converse, Sony, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Nickelodeon and ESPN. He has also contributed to the launch of several category-defining products including the HTC Vive Virtual Reality HMD, Amazon Alexa smart home devices and dozens of smart phones and wearables.
