ABOUT DENIS J. BISSON
Being part of TvH group (small family office) gives my clients access to an accountant (small to mid size company and personal tax advice), a lawyer (wills, real estate transactions) and mortgage or line of credit solutions. As a portfolio manager at TvH Wealth, I will support and advise clients on discretionary portfolio solutions and services from Raintree Wealth Mgt. When setting the asset allocation of the portfolios, we select from only external managers, so no conflicts of interest. We will allocate funds to traditional areas such as Cdn, US, EAFE and emerging market equities and global bonds but also in alternatives such as absolute returns funds, private credit, real estate. Our goal is to achieve a steady return while managing risk, protecting downside. As a member of investment committee, my clients will know exactly what changes we are making and why.For those interested in privates, we also offer private equity holdings from Raintree Financial Solutions. For more information, please send me a message and I will connect you with a team member that sells the privates. Also to note, for those investors who want exposure to a sector not (well) covered in the portfolios (ie Gold), we can add exposure by adding an ETF, complementing the portfolio solution. As a CFP / TEP, I will begin with having an in depth discussion on what you are looking for in retirement and what it will take to achieve that goal. We will answer the question:\"Do I have enough, how much am I leaving to my beneficiaries?\" A full financial review will take place and we will adjust to changing circumstances, life events. On-going communication is a must. All plans include a retirement review, an investment review, risk assessment (insurance), tax planning, education planning if applicable, and of course no plan is complete without a discussion on your estate and what it will look like. This will include a discussion on taxes, wills, executor, trusts (if needed), gifting before death and charitable giving. Small business owners will have the above and more relating to their firm.Interested in learning more? Send me a LI message or email me at d••••@tvhwealth.ca for an initial discussion to see if I can help.Note: Currently PM licensed in ON, BC, NS, AB and Insurance licensed in ON, BC. For a financial plan and full assessment, discretionary managed portfolio as described above, minimum family assets is $250k. If only a plan is needed, cost is $2k plus tax.
