I was hired to build and launch a specialty copay assistance program to drive cost savings for clients, members, and vendors, which went live in October 2021 with select client groups and was launched to all clients in January 2022. In this role, I head development and implementation of strategies, systems, and processes aligned with specialty business objectives. This involves partnering with vendors and cross-functional teams to implement/change plan set-ups, build documentation and reporting, and resolve complex insurance claims. I hired, trained, and currently lead a team of 20. Highlights of Impact: Drove $20.7M in savings (2022) across 268 clients, as well as $6M internal savings with 23 clients, after launching new vendor program that increased savings for utilizers of specialty medications. Implemented department’s first-ever 4-week training program. Saved $700K in misappropriated claims by ensuring complete claims processing, reconciling and correcting discrepancies, and partnering with network pharmacies to ensure greater reimbursement and improve rebate management. Increased production 20% by working extensively with IT teams to develop automation and APIs.
