ABOUT DENISE PERKINS-LANDRY

As an experienced professional with more than 25 years driving PR and communication efforts, I feel I am lucky to have spent the last 18 of it working in the medical device space. Every year a new challenge comes my way which keeps the job exciting. My teams are awesome, I couldn\'t be surrounded with a better, more talented group. I find it very rewarding to jump in and help plan and execute everything from new brand launches to employee events. Each day gives me a chance to work on something that I hope makes a difference in the lives of the patients who benefit from our products. Prior to healthcare, I worked in children\'s entertainment delivering PR campaigns for the purple dinosaur himself, Barney and the greatest musicians for kids that ever-stepped foot in the U.S, The Wiggles. This was preceded by a 14-year career in broadcast news which firmly established my passion for telling stories through video. As a former broadcast news journalist, I have a proven track record with national, regional and local media outlets and I still get excited when I see a positive story about my company online or in print. Working well under pressure while juggling multiple projects to meet stringent deadlines are a few of my strengths that come from all the years in TV news. As the Vice President of Corporate Communications at Orthofix, it is my goal to improve our brand image, while supporting our overall sales goals and connecting our employees to our mission of helping patients. In my current position I manage the internal team responsible for driving stellar corporate events, the marketing communications group who excel at delivering creative concepts to support our sales and marketing efforts and of course our awesome coms team that literally touch almost everything we do. They are a rock solid team that the whole company relies on and they make us proud!
