ABOUT DENISE NEWMAN

I am a Lead Director of Provider Performance, Value-based Care, at Aetna, a CVS Health Company, with over 28 years of experience in the health care industry. As an MSN, RN, CCM, I have the credentials and the competencies to lead and support the Medicare Value Based Care groups in achieving their quality and performance goals.My mission is to improve the health and well-being of the Medicare beneficiaries and providers by implementing and monitoring value-based care models and population health strategies. I have extensive knowledge of HEDIS/Stars, quality and NCQA standards, and engagement management. I also leverage my clinical background and case management certification to provide insights and guidance to the case managers, social workers, and supervisors in my team. In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor at Aspen University, where I teach and mentor the future leaders of healthcare in nursing.
