In today\'s challenging business environment filled with constant change and ambiguity what distinguishes great leaders from merely good leaders is more than IQ or technical skills. It is emotional intelligence(\"EQ / EI.\") I believe outstanding leadership can be described as the five C\'s: Courage to be authentic - self-aware, to know your strengths, weaknesses, drives and values. Self-reflective and able to understand your impact on others. Candor to speak the truth - even when it is not easy. Curiosity and openness to listen and learn - even when you disagree. Compassion to create trust-based relationships where people feel respected and understood. Collaboration to manage relationships and build social networks which allows people to work effectively and feel connected.
