About Denise Barnett
I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who has worked in the field for over 40 years and taught about the field for over 30 years. My areas of practice include (previous) schools, long term care, private practice, consulting, and (current) rehabilitation hospitals and home health. I am particularly passionate about working with adult neurogenic disorders. My teaching experience has taken place at Abilene Christian University where I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. I teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I also serve as the Division Director for the Abilene MS SLP program coordinating all graduate admission activities for the CSD Department.
