ABOUT DENIS MURPHY
I have worked for both West Midlands & Warwickshire Fire Services for over 35 years and am currently a Fire Safety Inspecting Officer in the West Midlands FS Legal Support Team. During my time with the Fire Service I worked within all three pillars of the organisation, Prevention, Protection and Response. My prevention work was focused on the identification of vulnerable young people and adults from within our community and delivering interventions to reduce risk these people. In Protection I worked as a Fire Safety Inspecting Officer which involved visiting commercial premises and working with businesses to ensure fire safety legislative compliance. I worked in Response for 18 years as an operational firefighter attending a variety of operational incidents
