ABOUT DENIS CAIREAC

With three years of experience at sea on Car Carriers (PCTC), I possess a wealth of expertise in marine navigation and vessel operations. My career has taken me across global trade routes, particularly focusing on the Asia-North America trade lanes. In my role as a Navigational Officer, I have demonstrated proficiency in critical responsibilities, including maintaining life-saving appliances and firefighting equipment, preparing port documents, and operating GMDSS and navigation tools, as well as conducting comprehensive passage plans. Additionally, I have a solid grasp of ISM and ISPS procedures and possess a thorough understanding of statutory regulations related to pollution prevention, especially as outlined by MARPOL. My time on Car Carrier vessels has also equipped me with significant skills in RO-RO cargo handling and cargo plan preparation and monitoring. As a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic, I am committed to advancing in the ever-evolving maritime industry. While I have excelled as a Navigational Officer, I am now preparing to transition to a shore-based position in the near future.
