About Denika Dwyer
I am a versatile, industry agnostic, entrepreneurial spirited, executive level thought leader who has a passion for diversity and inclusion and architects strategic solutions to optimize businesses and teams.I started my career in sports and entertainment building a self-funded guest services program, while selling season tickets. I transitioned into supporting the growth and expansion of a small company, selling aerial and satellite imagery. From there, I made my way into working in the cable and telecommunications industry in a procurement role. Over the years, I built my procurement knowledge and passion for saving companies money to encompass all facets from buyer to contracts negotiations and administration, up through to global oversight of strategic sourcing and vendor management. In and amongst my procurement career, I briefly made my way back into sports and entertainment, helping to successfully open the Richie Center managing the tickets sales for a variety of ticketed events for the University of Denver. I even spent some of my procurement years negotiating indirect procurement agreements in the financial services industry for First Data / Western Union. I eventually decided to round out my career by transitioning to Arrow Electronics, where I helped transition their New York contracts & proposals team to be managed out of Colorado. Over my years at Arrow, I was able to transition a primarily paper driven process to be electronic. I grew the department\'s responsibilities from being known as the department of \"no\" to being the department of \"let\'s see how we can make it work\". Our contracts team made the transformation from being North America sales contracts only to supporting all contracts (buy, sell and resell) globally, as long as the majority of spend or revenue was North America based and the language was in English. Additionally, I stood up their first Legal Operations department, took over the company-wide contingent labor program, and promoted and oversaw their supplier diversity program.I served as vice-chair then chair of the ACC Legal Operations Tools & Technology resource group, and Board of Directors of the Colorado Animal Protectors. I continue to serve on the Board of Directors, as Vice-Chair for the Mountain Plains Minority Supplier Development Council, providing me opportunities to give back to the community by support the growth and development of small and diverse businesses, helping to close the economic wealth gap.
