About Dena A. Baptiste
A career in Human Resources is NOT something I dreamt about. I wanted to be a nurse. Until one day, when I was ten years old, I cut my forearm and needed 16 stitches. That trip to the emergency room ended my dream of becoming a nurse very quickly. Ten years later, while attending community college, my professor encouraged me to explore the new Human Resources Management program. I fell in love with the HRM program and thus began my 13-year career in human resources. I have had the privilege of working in various industries, including food service, retail, healthcare, textile, and real estate. I have a passion for creating a culture where employees can thrive.
