About Dena Don
I\'m registered dietitian, recipe developer, freelance writer and proofreader for students and professionals based in New York City. I currently develop recipes and write about nutrition for my personal blog, The Artsy Palate, and share similar content on my nutrition Instagram account (@theartsypalate). I\'ve developed recipes for Kosher.com, as well as for Prep + Rally, a meal-prep subscription service designed for busy families, in the past. I\'ve also edited cookbooks. My writing has appeared on various dietitians\' blogs as well as in local newspapers. After graduating from The University of Maryland with a B.A. in Journalism and a B.S. in Dietetics, I completed my supervised practice hours with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (mainly at the Weill Cornell and Columbia campuses). I am currently pursuing an M.S. in Clinical Nutrition at New York University and working as a private practice dietitian. I especially enjoy explaining the science behind nutrition in layman\'s terms, whether in-person or in writing. I am looking for positions that would allow me to fuse my interests in dietetics and journalism and/or help me improve my counseling skills. I am also open to freelance writing, recipe developing and proofreading positions.
