Peabody Charter School is an independent charter school in Santa Barbara, CA. A charter since 1993 (one of the first in the state), Peabody Charter School successfully serves a diverse population of 750 children in grade TK-6. As the educational leader, I work closely with 35 certificated staff and over 60 support staff on improving our instructional practice. I design and deliver professional development on a regular basis. Recent presentations have focused on understanding and unpacking Common Core Standards, academic language and vocabulary, rigorous reading strategies, and technology use in the classroom.As superintendent/principal, I work closely with my school board to set school strategy, policy and goals. I am responsible for all financial aspects of the school, as well as maintaining the facilities of our campus.
