Managing the QA (Quality Assurance) work on my current pod as well as understanding and explaining testing processes to junior team members on the team as the Lead QA. Assisted Product Owner with timeline estimates and daily progress tracking to ensure scrum team is on target. Responsible for reviewing user stories, creating test cases with traceability back to user stories, executing test cases and tracking results, opening defects or bug tasks when necessary, and working with developers and product owner on necessary changes. Involved in sprint planning session activities such as: user stories reviews, upcoming sprint planning, story point review, task creation, assignment to user stories. Participated in backlog grooming / poker planning sessions, defined acceptance criteria, story sizing. Lead sprint retrospective at the end of each sprint to determine positives, negatives and improvement strategies for future sprints. Performed production script verification during code deployments to production and switchover activities. Created test cases based on user stories included in the current sprint. Reviewed test cases with product owner to ensure adequate coverage of user stories. Executed end-to-end testing and verified appropriate results were “sent” out to providers and could be accessed, read and replicated. Assist cross functional teams and serve as a mentor to junior QA’s when assistance is needed assess their agile/testing practices and providing feedback and strategies moving forward. Report and create bug tasks against Jira tickets if/when bugs are uncovered during testing in our dev and QA environments. Create automated test cases in Cucumber with Gherkin in Javascript for API/UI test scenarios to support our continuous integration strategy. Participated in and lead sprint planning, grooming and retrospective meeting as well as daily SCRUM meetings.
