Francesca DeMartino has nearly 25 years of combined experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and Finance. She currently works at Pfizer as Chief Investor Relations Officer and Senior Vice President. Before Pfizer, Francesca was Vice President, Investor Relations at Medtronic. Before Medtronic, Francesca was Vice President, Investor Relations at Macrocure, a biotechnology company. She was part of the Senior Management Team that completed the company\'s Initial Public Offering. Francesca built and led the IR function and positioned the company to achieve increased liquidity, a broadened investor base, and returns of 40% from IPO and 90% YTD as of August 2015. Prior to joining Macrocure, Francesca was Director, Worldwide Communications at Johnson & Johnson. She led public relations, internal and executive communications, organizational communications, and issues and crisis management within Medical Device & Diagnostics (Ethicon and Mentor in the U.S, and Ethicon, Ethicon-Endo Surgery, Depuy and Cordis in EMEA). She led Communications for J&J\'s $4B divestiture of Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. Prior to J&J, Francesca was Senior Director, Investor Relations at Omrix Biopharmaceuticals. She was part of the Senior Management Team when it was acquired by J&J in 2008. Post Omrix\'s IPO in 2006, she developed and led the IR program, which achieved \"#1 Aftermarket Performance Among 2006 Healthcare IPO’s\" and \"#2 Aftermarket Performance Among 2006 IPO’s Across All Industries\".To build her skills in Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, Francesca worked at leading NYC agencies, GCI Group and The Ruth Group.Francesca began her career at Deutsche Bank where, as a Financial Analyst on the Health Care Investment Banking Group, she structured financial and strategic analyses for a range of transactions.Francesca holds a B.A. in International & Area Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a minor in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business. She was a Visiting Student at Barnard College, Columbia University.
