Director of Special Projects at Nest DC, I lead complex property initiatives that fall outside of day-to-day operations across a diverse residential portfolio in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for managing high-stakes capital projects, regulatory compliance efforts, and property transitions while serving as the primary liaison between ownership, residents, vendors, and internal teams.I oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale repairs and special projects—from scope development and vendor coordination through completion—ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with DC housing regulations. I also serve as the lead representative for DC Housing Authority (DCHA) inspections, Department of Buildings (DOB) Notices of Infraction, and insurance-related property claims, managing preparation, documentation, and follow-up to achieve successful outcomes and protect asset performance.This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with home management, maintenance, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution and clear communication with stakeholders. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, monitoring contractor performance, managing compliance timelines, and drafting resident and owner communications related to major work and regulatory matters.The role supports Nest DC’s mission-driven approach to property management by maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and resident experience across the portfolio.
