Perform routine administrative and patient care supportive duties in a Health System medical practice to assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensure clinic runs smoothly. Responsible for performing patient scheduling, physical health assessments, pre-deployment physicals, post-deployment health reassessments, ordering exams and lab work, and taking electrocardiograms. Effectively apply knowledge of medical terminology in order to interpret physician orders and take appropriate action to schedule ancillary testing, complete consults and/or referrals to specialists. Document and record vital statistics, EKG’s, eye exams, and specs verified.
