ABOUT DELYTH JONES

As Director of Strategy & Operations for Statistics, Programming and Data Strategy I work in close collaboration with the group VP, accountable for defining and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, performance and capability across the group. I am involved in defining resourcing strategy at the portfolio level to deliver the pipeline and I\'m currently driving an initiative to grow off-shore capabilities. In addition, I chair GSK\'s Statistics Peer Review forum, to ensure appropriate and cutting edge statistical designs are implemented for all phase 2 & 3 trials.I have many years of experience leading global teams of Statisticians and Programmers to support drug projects in CV, Metabolic, Renal, Oncology and Neurosciences. Technical expertise includes design and analysis of CV outcomes trials; interim and futility assessment; dose-response modelling, quantitative decision making, use of prior elicitation to calculate assurance. I have business development experience and extensive experience working with regulatory agencies, steering committees and clinical/statistical advisory boards. I\'m a member of the EFSPI Benefit-Risk Special Interest Group.SPDS is a critical department within the Quantitative Sciences (QSci) division of R&D at GSK. Other QSci departments include Clinical Pharmacology Sciences and Epidemiology. R&D innovation underpins all of our businesses. We partner with >1,500 companies and academic organisations globally, enabling us to increase our understanding and to share development risk.
