ABOUT DELL ZHENG
An engineer with a product mindset, I love building systems that make complex work feel simple. I’m currently a Software Engineer at Capital One, where I design and ship ML evaluation pipelines and observability tooling on AWS—helping teams benchmark models against real incidents, monitor performance in real time, and close the loop between data and decisions. My work spans AWS Batch, Lambda, S3, IAM, and observability platforms, and I enjoy turning ambiguous problems into reliable, automated workflows that actually move the needle for users.Previously, I worked across product and analytics roles at Stanley Black & Decker, leading intern teams, optimizing SKU assortments, and scaling a Visual Efficient Assortment (VizEa) system that cut analysis time from 30 minutes to 30 seconds and supported aggressive SKU reduction goals. I hold a B.S. in Business Analytics from RPI and am pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, and I’m especially excited about generative AI, ML, and developer experience—whether that’s building better pipelines, improving observability, or empowering teams with tools that help them ship faster and with more confidence.
