Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Executive that is recognized as an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience across global commercial organizations. Currently, serving as Head, US innovative Medicines Business Unit at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Previously, served as Chief Commercial Officer at Akebia Therapeutics leading commercial and business functions for three years. As part of the Executive Team, contributed to many aspects of running the organization, including corporate strategy and long-range planning, investor relations activities, business development initiatives, alliance management, and corporate financing. Core commercial responsibilities included building and leading the commercial organization, driving the strategy and performance for in-market product, Auryxia including P&L management, and preparing all aspects of the commercialization plan for investigational product, vadadustat. Prior to Akebia, spent nine years with Biogen in various commercial and business roles of increasing responsibility. Last role was as Head of US Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Franchise, where I was the general manager of the multi-billion-dollar MS portfolio. Also appointed interim Head of the US organization for >6 months, which included leadership of the early launch of the rare spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) product, Spinraza. As Global Asset Executive, I was responsible for the overall strategic vision of the largest MS brand, Tecfidera, across the organization, including commercial, R&D, PO+T, and G&A Earlier in career, held several roles of increasing responsibility within Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing at Forest and Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which included multiple product launches across several disease areas.Proven track record of success throughout career in delivering sustained financial and people results in both larger and smaller companies in senior operating roles.
