I am a passionate educator currently pioneering a Pre-Law program for high school students, designed to mirror the curriculum and pedagogical approach of traditional law schools. This initiative reflects my commitment to developing critical thinking, reading, and writing skills through the complexities and nuances of legal education.Beyond education, I serve as the chairperson of The Peter Fund, a non-profit organization my family and I founded to foster kindness and compassion among youth. Through this work, we honor my son’s memory by promoting values that resonate deeply with his spirit. My professional journey spans over 25 years, during which I’ve held leadership roles across various sectors, including Founder, CEO, Chief Product Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Senior Legal Counsel.

1. Pre-law Educator

   St. Vrain Valley School District

   Jan 2022 — Present · Longmont, CO, US

   The Pre Law Pathway at the Career Elevation and Technology Center in Longmont, Colorado is the only state accredited law CTE program in Colorado. Created and developed by Dave Elchoness and Eve Bonn, both attorneys and business professionals, the Pathway delivers a rigorous, law school modeled curriculum to high school students.The program consists of four sequential courses: Introduction to Law, Criminal Law & Justice, Business Law, and Civil Rights & the Law. Instruction follows the law school method. Students read primary legal materials, engage in structured Socratic dialogue, analyze judicial opinions, debate doctrine, and apply legal reasoning to complex hypotheticals.Experiential learning is central to the curriculum. Students participate in extensive mock trial simulations, and the Pathway fields a competitive Mock Trial team that competes in the National High School Mock Trial program through the Colorado Bar Association.The Pathway has also developed internship opportunities to introduce students to the legal profession, including a partnership with the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office in Boulder, Colorado.The result is an immersive secondary legal education program designed to cultivate analytical rigor, persuasive advocacy, disciplined reasoning, and meaningful exposure to the legal industry.
