About Mauricio de Torre
Mauricio is a seasoned investment professional with of over 29 years of experience in global asset management, proprietary trading and credit risk management. Mauricio was the chief investment strategist at Hamershlag Sulzberger Borg. He has held several senior investment banking, trading and asset management positions in New York, Miami, and London at HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, and Coutts & Co. He has extensive background emerging markets, having managed large proprietary books in corporate and sovereign credit at Citibank and Deutsche Bank respectively. While at Coutts & Co. he served as the head of investment advisory and at HSBC he served as the chief investment strategist responsible for setting up their third party investment platform. His responsibilities included fund selection and asset allocation, attribution analysis and the recommendation of funds, individual stocks, options, alternative investments, structured products, currencies and bonds for investment portfolios. He created and managed some of the firm’s largest multi-asset portfolios on behalf of their most significant clients. He was responsible for building the asset management business for private banks. The primary target clients in this market include financial institutions, HNW individuals, family offices, financial boutiques, and financial advisors.
