About Delasa Aghamirzaie
I am a product oriented, multi disciplinary computer scientist and engineer working on the edge of machine learning and life sciences. I have extensive experience driving data-informed decision-making in fast-paced environments with sparse, biased, and confounded data, where robust and safe modeling strategies are essential. I am currently focused on AI for early cancer detection working cross functionally between data science, machine learning design and development, clinical development, and lab ops. Before joining Delfi, I was a bioinformatics scientist at Natera working on Signatera product. I also worked as a scientist at illumina AI labs working on developing deep learning/machine learning for genome interpretation. I was a data analyst in Genentech and prior to that a post doctoral fellow at the Trapnell lab at University of Washington. I have a PhD at Bioinformatics and Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
