In this role, I lead initiatives that advance racial and gender equity, strengthen civic engagement, and foster meaningful community partnerships across Middle Tennessee.Key Highlights:Designed and executed the annual Stand Against Injustice series, including 8 webinars with nearly 800 participants and diverse topics such as women of color leadership, Native American history, and the role of art and faith in social change.Directed the largest Youth Advocacy Summit to date, engaging 54 students from across Nashville in leadership development and civic education.Spearheaded the inaugural Healing Through Unity Health & Wellness Fair, expanding the organization’s approach to holistic community care.Rebranded and revitalized social justice communications, increasing engagement through more vibrant storytelling and design.Led YWCA’s 21-Day Racial Justice Challenge with nearly continuing education emails delivered and facilitated in-person community dialogues.Partnered with elected officials, Metro Council, and community leaders to advance local advocacy priorities, including the passage of new resolutions supporting civic engagement.Provided education and training on equity and social justice to Board members, staff, and community partners to strengthen organizational capacity for change.Through this work, I’ve advanced the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women while building bridges between communities, institutions, and policymakers.
