About Delaney Schurr
A 2021 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, where I earned my MS in ‘Nutrition Epidemiology & Data Science, specializing Biochemical & Molecular Nutrition’ from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy. As of now, I am working under Dr. William Li on several projects for the Angiogenesis Foundation. I am also working for Connie Cares as an administrative & research assistant - helping patients across the country to receive sequential compression devices to manage their lymphedema, free of charge. I am currently applying to medical schools to pursue my ultimate goal of becoming a physician who reshapes the standard of care by emphasizing nutrition as a true priority in the treatment and prevention of numerous conditions. My academic passions stem from a high interest in gastroenterology, especially new discoveries surrounding the clinical science of human metabolism and nutrition. I am a strong believer in the philosophy of ‘Food is Medicine’ and look forward to implementing this into my practices as a physician. I am also especially passionate about strong doctor-patient interactions in the healing process of a patient. I am happy to help with freelance projects, such as proof-reading, editing, writing nutrition/health content, tutoring, or data entry. Demonstrating a high level of initiative, Also team-oriented; working well in a collaborative environment, while also thriving on personal endeavors and achievements. Striving to make lifelong connections and a strong, expansive network. Open to a travel-oriented career and lifestyle, or a stationary, or even remote, opportunity. Enjoy hobbies such as yoga, coaching lacrosse, painting, long-distance running, and traveling.
