About Delaney Welborn
Delaney Welborn is an experienced designer with a demonstrated history of working in the textiles industry. Her career at Mohawk began in 2016 as a design intern for the commercial department focusing on 2D layouts. After graduation, she transitioned into a full-time product development designer role that specialized in Healthcare/Senior Living, Education and resilient segments. She worked on both hard and soft surface collections. In her current role she works out of Mohawk Group’s first brick and mortar, Personal Studio in downtown Chicago. This includes providing design solutions for the commercial and hospitality markets such as sample fabrication from her mini tufting machine in the Personal Studio. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Textiles from North Carolina State University concentrating on Textiles Management.
