I currently work as a Project Manager within the Construction/Building field. In 2022, I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning and minor in Sustainable Environments. I have previous experience working in journalism as Editor-in-chief at a community-led music and arts publication. I am interested in environmental justice, walkable cities, professional writing, design, and community building. I am open to many professional roles, which is consistent with my diverse professional experience.

   As a Project Manager, I facilitate effective communication and coordination protocol between City Officials, consultants, tenants, and property owners to minimize negative and unexpected impacts during the construction permitting process. Additionally, I guide and direct a team of Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators for multiple projects on a local and/or national scale.Additional duties include:• Provides updates to relevant stakeholders on project milestones such as but not limited to filings, approvals, permits, letter of completion, occupancy, and other municipality updates.• Completes project deliverables and ensures quality control.• Reviews all new projects and gathers all necessary information required for production of forms or electronic submission.• Prepares municipality applications for submission of filing, permits, objections, variances, etc.• Maintains complete and accurate records through the Project Management software Asana.• Manages projects and is accountable for all deliverables within the project.• Attends city and jurisdictional meetings and presents before the Architectural Commission on behalf of the client.• Performs evaluations on status updates performed by assigned team.• Assists accounting to ensure that all invoices connected to the project are maintained for billing purposes.• Understands permit issuance policies and requirements and the various Community Development departments and their roles.• Reads and interprets design plans, maps, and construction language.• Communicates regularly with a Design/Development Team to discuss expected outcomes and milestones.• Creatively formulates/suggests strategies & solutions for any problems/issues that arise.• Demonstrates flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high-volume production environment.• Maintains the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude either verbally or written communication.
