ABOUT DEJI C.

I am currently working as a Financial Crime Advisory and Escalations Officer with the specific focus on approving Trade Finance transactions from an AML and Sanctions perspective. I have over 10 years Capital Markets, Wholesale, Investment and Private Banking experience, across Operations, Compliance and Financial Crime, with particular emphasis on Correspondence Banking, Trade Finance, AML, KYC, Sanctions and Policy Review and Change Implementation. I have extensive stakeholder management experience, am a good communicator with strong verbal and written skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels am able to work well both within a team and on my own and I have strong IT skills including and Microsoft Office and mainstream Sanction screening tools. In the past 10 years, I have managed small teams of KYC Analysts including managing workload and providing training as and when it was necessary and also on assisting, tracking, performing and reviewing KYC renewals and on boarding to ensure they are completed within agreed SLA timeframes; I have extensive knowledge and experience of different Due Diligence/research databases and a variety of KYC and Sanctions systems to report tracking progress and outstanding records to the relevant managers. In addition, I have also been involved in the review and amendment of AML/KYC Policies and Procedures.
