ABOUT DEJA B. HOWARD
Hello, My name is Deja, and I am a passionate individual that enjoys skill-building with various populations. I am a firm believer in equipping people with education and skills so they can advocate and help themselves and create lasting change. I am proud to say, I am the first full-time Medical Social worker for my branch and I have been able to support the census numbers as they have grown over the months. This current opportunity has allowed me to grow as an independent critical thinker and problem solver. As my current branch office grows, I often find myself at the intersection of executing meaningful and fun work, fueling my passion for creative work where I can connect with individuals. During my social work career, I have been able to help upward of 300 families, if not more, walk with their loved ones during their final journey. It continues to be nothing short of an honor, and I look forward to new opportunities where I can continue to develop my skills while working in creative and fun environments!
