I have extensive experience working in ocean conservation. I\'ve been tackling a myriad of environmental issues in California for a significant time – as staff at a federal agency charged with managing the nation’s extraordinary protected marine sanctuaries, as a Director of Engagement for a non-profit, and currently as a Community Engagement, Outreach and Partnership Liaison. The scope of my various roles and key skills include expertise in the following realms: Outreach, Engagement, and Science Communications, Government & Community Relations, Marine Policy Analyst, Media Spokesperson, Project Management Maven, Permit Coordinator, Organizational Leadership, and Content Development.

   I’ve been advising and guiding this organization on implementation measures for engagement and partnership cultivation with academia, government policy makers, ocean stakeholders, and the conservation community to build awareness and amplification of a regulatory database tool that is very useful in informing marine policy decisions related to national and international 30x30 efforts. One of my first objectives was to create a Strategy Plan outlining short and long-term goals and implementation measures to identify critical actions needed in the path forward (while I concurrently began tackling those efforts). I oversee community engagement and relationship building with various key audiences, draft presentations, develop talking points, cultivate key relationships with partners, and make recommendations on improving forward-facing web-based collateral.
