About Deesha Thosar
Deesha Thosar is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor\'s in Journalism and double-minor in International Media Studies and Communication Arts & Sciences. Deesha is currently the Mets beat reporter for the NY Daily News – New York’s first successful tabloid newspaper. Deesha was previously a reporter and executive producer for MLB.com, previously the Boston Red Sox Associate Reporter for MLB.com. She was also a Content Producer for NBA, where she managed social media accounts and ran the landing page and more for Jr. NBA.During her time at Penn State, she was a sports reporter, sports anchor, news anchor and producer for the Emmy Award winning Centre County Report and a sports writer for the Daily Collegian, Penn State\'s student-run, independently published newspaper. She also interned for the Pittsburgh Sports Report in Pennsylvania and served as the editor of her high school newspaper for two years.Throughout her professional career, Deesha has maintained proficiency in evolving social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit and Youtube. She has gained experience in Photoshop, WordPress, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, AP ENPS, Microsoft Word, JVC and DSLR cameras. Deesha is an energetic teammate and hardworking leader. She has a strong work ethic, is an effective communicator and is able to adapt to new situations.
