ABOUT DEJONNEE DEE RODER
Dejonnee Roder is the founder and managing director of Urden Ltd, an innovative process to completely remove plastic waste, carbon and nitrogen footprint of humans with biomimetic systems for urban green space creation, rehabilitation and restoration. Dejonnee has served in the U.S. Navy and during her tours she participated in her fleets\' mission of humanitarian aid tsunami & climate change stricken countries; most notable the Burmese tsunami of 2007. Upon leaving the military, Dejonnee changed her career focus from fine art appreciation to environmental studies after witnessing the effects of climate change and technology deficiency in third world countries she visited during her service. She began studying environmental management and human geography at the University of Hertfordshire for a year before transferring to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, where she earned her BA in Environmental Studies.\"I started Urden with the hope of fostering a deeper connection and reconciliation between people and nature through biomimicry, the reuse of plastics and the circular economy. This way, I can continue my study and practice of ecological engineering, biomimicry, green innovations, urban ecology and the rebuilding of community.\"
