ABOUT DEEPTI RAMACHANDRAN
Scientist (PhD) with 16+ years of translational research experience investigating metabolic syndrome, obesity, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes and related therapies. Significant expertise in in vivo mouse models and in vitro mammalian cell culture models. Independent thinker with extensive leadership, project management, collaboration, teaching and training experience in dynamic environments across three continents (Asia, Europe and North America). Expert in initiating, executing and managing independent research projects. Successful in multitasking, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn every day. I was a member of the BIDMC Green labs committee that is actively working towards a Zero Waste future in research and served as the chair of the committee for a year (20••••24). I also helped establish the BIDMC Postdoc Association (2019) to serve as a body to advocate for postdocs, and served as the President for two years (20••••22).
