ABOUT DEEPSHIKHA RAUNIYAR

I am pursuing my PhD as an i3c BRIC RCB scholar. My research focuses on cellular immunology, with a particular emphasis on host-pathogen interaction involving mycobacterium. My additional areas of interest include proteomics, structural biology, and astrobiology.To qualify for the PhD program and fellowship, I successfully passed the GATE-BT and DBT-JRF exams. I also completed the IIT-JAM and GAT-B exams for admission to the master\'s program and was a DBT fellow during my master\'s studies. Additionally, I was honored to receive the Sneh Chhaya Foundation scholarship and Kanta Sacchar prize during my bachelor\'s degree program.My dissertation experiences and practical abilities have honed my skills in protein purification. My project revolved around enzyme assays, enzyme production, cell lysis, size exclusion chromatography, and ion exchange chromatography with the FPLC instrument. I also gained experience quantifying protein, performing gel electrophoresis, NATIVE-PAGE, SDS-PAGE, determining kinetic parameters, and characterizing reaction parameters for purified enzymes. This project has significantly contributed to the enhancement of my ability to collaborate effectively, resulting in the improvement of my knowledge and experience.
