ABOUT DEEPIKA KATOCH
I am an Internationally educated immigration & management professional with over 9 years of customer service, overseeing international admission and filing processes. When I first began in admissions in an immigration consultancy as an application processor, I handled each student’s file with care. From the start, I was captivated by the impact my work could have, helping students achieve their educational goals abroad. What began as an administrative role quickly expanded as I developed a thorough understanding of admission criteria and visa regulations. Over time, I recognized the behind-the-scenes complexities—balancing immigration guidelines with institutional requirements—and saw how my role could make the process more transparent and supportive for students.Driven by a passion for creating seamless, supportive experiences, I advanced into a management position. As an Admission and Filing Manager, I became the bridge between students and the institutions they aspired to join. My work involved managing each application, coordinating with colleges and universities, and ensuring compliance with immigration requirements. My aim was to make the process clear and reassuring for students at each stage. One of my proudest achievements was leading my team to submit 1,200 visa applications to IRCC with an 80% success rate. This success underscored the importance of streamlined processes and a well-coordinated team, especially under tight deadlines. By establishing streamlined processes and maintaining open client communication, I helped past employers meet ambitious annual goals for student intake with high satisfaction rates. This journey, however, has not been without challenges. Balancing heavy workloads and tight deadlines initially led to burnout, teaching me the essential value of delegation, collaboration, and sustainable practices to keep both myself and my team motivated.Looking forward, I aim to combine my expertise in immigration with project management to lead large-scale, transformative projects that enhance the admissions process. My focus is on implementing CRM technology and other tools to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy, delivering consistent, high-quality service to students and stakeholders alike.I’ve completed my Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management from the University of Winnipeg & with a blend of immigration expertise and project management skills, I drive efficiency and compliance.I’m passionate about improving systems that support students and deliver lasting organizational impact.
