My name is Deepika Gangwani, and I’m thrilled to be part of the puzzle that makes taking transit a breeze for everyone in Toronto! As the Manager of Corporate Deliverables at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), I contribute to creating seamless experiences that keep our city moving. With over 10 years of combined experience in both student and professional roles, I have cultivated a robust skill set in business administration, project management, and customer service. My journey began at Centennial College, where I took on various leadership roles, including President of the Centennial College Student Association Inc. and Board of Governor member. These positions refined my ability to collaborate with a wide range of groups and navigate complex organizational dynamics.Throughout my career at TTC, I have worked in both union and non-union environments, overseeing operations that focus on developing policies and improving systems that foster operational excellence. I take pride in my strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, which enable effective collaboration with various stakeholders and partners at both strategic and tactical levels across the organization. My experience spans workforce planning, budget processes, KPI analysis, event management, and report writing. In addition to my practical experience, I hold a Human Resources Certificate from York University, which has enhanced my understanding of HR principles and practices, further equipping me to support our workforce effectively. I am also currently enrolled in the Leadership Advantage program at TTC and the Inclusive Leadership program at York University’s Schulich School of Business. These programs focus on developing essential leadership skills and fostering an inclusive workplace culture, aligning perfectly with the values we uphold at TTC.I am a proud member of the TTC Honour Guard, representing our organization at various events, which reflects my commitment to public service and my love for TTC.Beyond my role at TTC, I serve as an Auxiliary Constable with the Toronto Police. This unique experience allows me to engage directly with the community, ensuring safety and support for all. It feeds my passion for making a positive impact and highlights my commitment to public service. One of the highlights of my professional development is the APTA Emerging Leaders Program 2025. As part of this program, I engage with fellow emerging leaders across North America, sharing insights and best practices while tackling the current challenges facing our transit industry.
