ABOUT DEEPA VENKATESAN
I am passionate about digital storytelling and I have been exploring this in multiple forms- through interactive documentaries, designing website layouts, developing digital content and doing multimedia research. I read, write, shoot videos, edit media, use design thinking and curiously experiment with social media on a daily basis. I have worked as an online journalist, a digital communications consultant and a project coordinator for a number of media organizations, non-profits, start-ups and B2C firms, over the last five years. I am comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment. I bring a lot of vision and creativity to execute projects and deliver them with great rigour. I have brought to life several digital campaigns, short films, creative ideas that have focussed on women’s rights, migrant issues, poverty, education, digital literacy, environmental awareness, technology, socio-economic issues and more.
