Inspection of bridge structures by MBIU for NHAI/NHIDCL/UPIEDAConduct physical inspection of bridges using the MBIU for structural health monitoring.Assess the condition of superstructure, substructure, bearings, joints, piers, and deck slabs.Identify defects such as cracks, corrosion, spalling, deformation, and leakage.Adhere to safety protocols while working at height and over water or traffic.Capture detailed photographs and videos of defects and structural conditions.Use formats or checklists (as per MoRTH/NHAI/IRC standards) to record inspection findings.Maintain logs of each bridge inspected, including GPS location and inspection date.Ensure all inspections are carried out as per guidelines (IRC SP: 35, IRC SP: 37, MoRTH).Recommend remedial measures like bearing replacement, grouting, structural retrofitting, or surface repairs.Track maintenance or rehabilitation works initiated post-inspection.Train junior engineers or supporting staff on MBIU usage and bridge inspection protocols.Stay updated on advancements in bridge inspection technology and practices.
