ABOUT DEEPANKAR MAHABALE
Conservationist with about a year of experience in conducting species surveys (mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians), writing scientific papers and community engagement. Knowledgeable about Ecological Impact Assessments, Phase 1 surveys and Preliminary Ecological Appraisals learned from surveying species and attending conferences in the UK. Proficient in data synthesis, analyses and presentation, obtained from doing my MSc dissertation in the Peruvian Amazon. Skilled in using statistical analyses (RStudio and Excel), spatial analyses (ArcGIS Pro and QGIS) and thematic analyses (NVivo), improved from my MSc coursework, a peer-reviewed published dissertation and independent projects. Looking for opportunities as an Ecologist and/or Programme Officer/Researcher to to utilise my survey and research skills to provide sustainable solutions to land managers, governments and planners.
