The UPES AAPG Student Chapter was established on 21st November 2012. The chapter was formed with the aim of taking the students a step closer to the field of Petroleum and Geology so that they are all familiar with the industry when they step in. The chapter works towards all-round development of the students through a series of technical and non-technical events round the year which makes them aware of their strengths and the weaknesses and helps them develop throughout. The UPES AAPG Student Chapter conducts a series of events and workshops throughout the academic year to mark its presence on the campus. The chapter functions through a core committee selected at the beginning of every academic year. We celebrate our annual fest named \"CRUST\", which is an international conference and workshop, which witnesses student participation from all over the world, where they are tested on the basis of their domain-related knowledge. The chapter was founded by just two people. Two far-sighted and hard-working people who dreamt of something big. We are now a family of over 100 core committee members and are on an endeavour of achieving the level of excellence that some only dream of.
