About Deepali Gupta
Doctoral Research Fellow working on “Snow Avalanche Hazard Risk Assessment in the Lahaul-Spiti Region of the Indian Himalayas.” My research integrates remote sensing, GIS, and terrain analysis with statistical and AI-based methods to better understand climate-induced risks in high-altitude environments.I work with tools such as QGIS, ENVI, HEC-RAS, and hyperspectral datasets (AVIRIS-NG, Sentinel, Landsat), applying both bivariate and multivariate statistical techniques. I’m also exploring the use of AI for pattern recognition, hazard zonation, and enhancing the accuracy of geospatial models.Driven by a deep passion for mountain environments, I aim to bridge scientific research with community resilience and policy to support sustainable development in ecologically fragile regions.
