As an MS(R) Scholar in the Materials Energy Manufacturing Sustainability LAB (MSME Lab) at IIT Madras, India, my research revolves around the joining and characterization of advanced dissimilar materials through friction stir welding (FSW). This innovative technique holds significant applications in the automotive and aerospace industries. The primary objective is to integrate advanced-grade aluminum and steel, aiming to diminish overall weight without compromising strength and durability. This strategic approach serves the dual purpose of conserving fuel and mitigating carbon emissions. The current phase of my research work also incorporates machine learning methodologies to predict and optimize results.
