ABOUT DEEPAK VISWAMBHARAN NAIR
I am an IT leader with over 20 years of experience delivering software projects. In my current position, I lead the architecture practice for the product technology platforms within Personal Insurance (PI) at Travelers. My current responsibilities include architecture oversight for a multi-year, multi-million dollar product launch that will reimagine our tech stack and build out our policy administration platform of the future. In addition, we are constantly modernizing our existing applications while also delivering key product and customer experience enhancements to market. As Travelers embarks on a multi-year mission to launch market-leading insurance capabilities, my team and I will be doing our parts to lay out the architecture vision and roadmaps that will get us there. My background is in full-stack application development with expertise across platforms and databases such as Java/J2EE all the way to host mainframe technologies. Prior to joining Travelers, I have worked as a consultant in the manufacturing, financial services, warehouse management and telecommunications industries. I like to pair the pursuit of simple scalable solutions with creative communication skills to convey my architecture vision to the enterprise. During my career I have worked in different development methodologies from Waterfall, Agile/Scrum to Scaled Agile (SAFe).
