ABOUT DEEPAK NAGALLA

My first encounter with a robot was during my first year of Undergrad at Amrita. A team from HuTLabs was testing a coconut tree-climbing robot. This triggered my interest in robots and systems which could address the common man\'s problems. I joined HuTLabs after this and worked on various projects listed in the Projects section of my LinkedIn profile. Our team has overcome several obstacles and made it to three international robotic competitions, including the IDC RoboCon at MIT. We have published conference papers on our research and a Journal. We have also filed a patent for one of our works. After undergrad, I joined Uhnder Inc as an intern and then got promoted to the full-time role of Software Engineer in the ROS team. Being one of the first few team members, I have received an opportunity to work on ROS and perception packages for various customers from scratch. The contributions I was able to make to different teams can be found in the words of my colleagues from the recommendations section.Now, I am pursuing a Masters\'s in Robotics at the University of Michigan, one of the top universities in the world for robotics. With the knowledge acquired here, I expect to contribute more to the Robotics field and be able to make my mark in this field.
